The Villages at Lone Oak is a community for those who love the outdoors. It is a community like none other—where there are more open spaces than homes and where fishing, boating, hiking, barbecuing, camaraderie, and nature prevail.

The Villages at Lone Oak is approximately 700 acre residential community. The Villages of Lone Oak is a development on Lake Tawakoni, TX; Hunt County. About 1,500 acres of Texas Parks and Wildlife Management are adjacent to this community ensuring the privacy of all of the residents.

This private community is located only 72 minutes East of Dallas and minutes away from conveniences of Greenville. In this community, there are combinations of the majestic pine trees of the forest, calm waters of Lake Tawakoni, and rolling hills of Hunt County (one of the fastest growing counties in the US for the past five years). Breathtaking views are found around every corner. Since the development is located on the east shore of Lake Tawakoni, not only will owners be able to enjoy miles of natural shoreline, but also some of Lake Tawakoni's best kept secrets. Secrets including tournament-winning fishing, smooth waters for boating and skiing, and park like settings accessible only by water or by hiking through miles of the Texas Wildlife Preserve. In addition, there are many other lakes to take advantage of in the immediate area, including, but not limited to Lake Lewisville, Grapevine Lake, and Lake Fork, world renowned for its bass fishing as represented on such shows as “Water Haul”.

Owning a piece of property at The Villages of Lone Oak, property owners will enjoy a club membership that allows owners to invite guests to enjoy all of the wonderful amenities that come with The Villages at Lone Oak. Some of the amenities that separate this community from all the others include things such as future pools, tennis courts, clubhouses, paddle boats, boat launches, and waterfront picnic areas complete with shaded tables, benches, and barbeque grills. There are also proposed plans to include a marina, ship store with bait and tackle, more swimming pools, and a water park.

This community is still under development. It had opened in 2005 and vast differences have already appeared. The golf course has already molded into a 9-hole course with concrete cart paths, and freshly cut green grass. The following villages are completely finished: Fox Hollow and The Vineyards. The Meadows is close to completion.

LOCATION OF LOTS
We have two lots available that are located in the Vineyards of The Villages of Lone Oak. The Vineyard Village is located at the West part of the community with easy and direct access to Lake Tawakoni, which is a few block away. The Club House and the 18-hole Golf Course are conveniently located just 3-5 blocks from these lots.

In the center of The Vineyard Village, there is a bountiful vineyard of Palomino grapes. These are Spanish grapes and are somewhat new to the Texas area. These grapes are normally used for sweet dessert wines in their native Spain, however, by mixing a small percentage of this grape with more common Chardonnay grape a very fruity and delightful table wine is the result.
